Hi,
My Onga Tankbuddy OTB450W 0.65kW Submersible Manual Pump (Max 84LPM/270kPa) for my rainwater tank has stopped working. I’ve purchased a Ryobi 750W Dirty Water Submersible Pump as a replacement. However, the issue I’m facing is that the old pump was connected to a WaterSwitch. The WaterSwitch automatically selects between rainwater from the tank and water from the mains, ensuring a seamless water supply for household needs like toilet cisterns, washing machines, garden watering, and car washing. The WaterSwitch is compatible with most Onga pumps.
Is it possible to connect this WaterSwitch to my new Ryobi pump?
Thank you.
Hello @dgrrfs
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about the Ryobi pump.
There is a high probability that the Ryobi submersible pump will work with your water switch. I'm not familiar with the specifications of your air switch, but the Ryobi submersible pump works exactly the same way the as the Onga pump. Both have floating mercury switches; They both have sealed motors for underwater operation and both of them have screw on outlets.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
