Hi,
I have a wall that consists of gyprock over brick and I want to hang a large picture on it.
Are there any specific wall anchors for this purpose?
Any special tips I need to know to avoid damage to the gyprock?
Thanks
Welcome to the Workshop community @Adam77. Many thanks for your question, I'd be happy to answer your question.
Is there any cavity in between the Gyprock and brick?
If there is no cavity you can drill through the Gyprock into the brick with a Sutton Tools 7 x 100mm- Masonry Drill Bit and a drill with a hammer function. A Ramset 7 x 50mm Green Wall Plug can then be tapped with a hammer into the hole created. Once the wall plug is inserted you can use the Everhang Picture Hanging Kit and Buildex 10-12 x 40mm Zinc Plated Countersunk Head Timber Screws to fix a hook to your wall.
If there is a cavity between the Gyprock and brick you are able to use the range of spring toggles such as the Ramset Gold Spring Toggle With Cup Hook.
If you would like further information about the process or had more questions, please let me know.
