I have upcycled this chest of drawers and replaced the old handles with these simple diy timber dowel drawer pulls!
I very simply cut the dowels to size, sanded and waxed to seal the wood.
I then used these copper pipe clips to attach to each drawer.
I’m so pleased with how they add not only functionality but also a design aspect to the finished piece!
Love your work, @kimamery!
You've really nailed the design element there, and at a fraction of the cost of similar pre-fabricated handles, no doubt.
Do you happen to recall the dowel thickness and the size of the pipe saddles you used? I trust those details will be helpful for any of our members wanting to recreate your wonderful project.
Many thanks for sharing, and I can wait to see what creative project you get up to next.

Hi Mitchell,
I believe I used the 18mm dowels and clips. Perfect size to be able to grip and open the drawers ☺️
