I have to mix some paint but only have a tile adhesive mixing drill part. The universal mixer is more swirly (first image) and the tile adhesive mixer has 4 kind of rectangular blades (2nd image).
will I get away with using this adhesive mixing part to mix paint as I won’t be able to get to the shop beforehand.
Thanks!
Hello @aspruntster
It should theoretically still work, but it might take longer as the mixer uses a swirling motion instead of a direct mixing action. My best advice is to keep the head moving inside the bucket in order to get a good mix. You might need to use a trowel to scrape the bottom corner in case it gets left behind in the mix. Please remember to use the right amount of water to prevent the adhesive from turning into a slurry.
Please remember to wear personal protection such as gloves, goggles and a mask when working on your project.
