Hi,
I have just sanded right back my door frames to metal and I am about to prime them with Dulux all metal primmer- water base. What would be the best roller to use?
thanks
Hi @nika
Nice work you did on the door frames they look nice and smooth
I would use those little foam roller kits as you want a nice thin coating for your new frame, There are other more quality rollers you can use if you wish use one with low nap for a smooth finish so paint isnt lumpy and overly textured.
Inexpensive the small cute foam rollers,
Dont forget to sheid the wall paint with a paint guard saving you to have to re do wall paint for minor over painting.
I can see the wall isnt painted yet.
Keep some left over door frame paint for later retouches in a jar or in 1 or 2 litre soft drink bottles as it lasts longer than in a rusty paint tin.
Others have equaly good differing advise.
Hi @nika,
Great work; that would have been a decent amount of effort.
Dulux recommends using a 10mm nap roller for the best results.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
