Hi, mind trusts,
I am looking for suggestions around the flooring, I have recently got hybrid flooring work done by someone which involved levelling and flooring.
The question is in some areas of the floor, I could feel some bubbles, upon communicating I was told the _1/+1 is a norm, however, I am not satisfied I feel like is more than that.
Could I please have some suggestions or opinions?
Thank you in advance.
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @HinaSal. It's amazing to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about hybrid vinyl flooring.
While I can only speak for the brands of hybrid flooring that we stock, I can share that if the subfloor is properly levelled and the boards are laid correctly with the required expansion gap around the perimeter, you generally shouldn't feel any bubbles or areas of noticeable flex. Hybrid vinyl flooring is designed to provide a smooth, consistent surface.
Bubbles or areas that feel different could be the result of various factors, but they’re not typically considered normal. It might be worth discussing your concerns further with the installer, as they can provide clarification based on the specific product used and the installation method.
You might also like to reach out to the flooring manufacturer for advice. If it were one of our suppliers I would be happy to do so for you.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
