Pets are much-loved family members but you don't need to spend a fortune on them. Building items like a dog kennel, cat enclosure or food station can be a simple, affordable and creative project for D.I.Y. beginners.

9. Cat enclosure by @Chrissie35

This D.I.Y. dog kennel is a great project to take on as a family and will look great in your backyard.
This vertical climbing tower will give your cat lots of exercise, stimulation and fun as it climbs through six different levels and explores various spaces where it can hide, rest and play. Check out How to build a cat tower.
This D.I.Y. feeding station will keep pet food and water neat and tidy and can slide away when it's not in use.
