Paving is not a difficult D.I.Y. job, and a new path can be both functional and an attractive feature of your home and garden.

1. Side access paving by @Yorky88 

 

Charcoal-coloured paving and river pebbles revamped this sideway to produce a stylish, low-maintenance area.

2. Side yard paving and bike shelter by @weekenddiyer  

 

Building a bike shelter and laying pavers created a more functional and attractive area in this side access project.

3. Small yard makeover with pavers and planter boxes by @marliemakesit 

 

To prepare the area for paving, Marlie laid a base of metal dust compacted with a plate compactor. 600mm x 600mm porcelain pavers were laid with landscaping sand brushed over to fill gaps.

4. Side path paver transformation by @Lmassih 

 

Recycled pavers cut and laid on compacted sand and road base for a side path.

A smart solution to a muddy thoroughfare with a new garden path using Travertine pavers and gravel at a cost of just $600.

Old cracked concrete replaced with a path using bluestone rounds, railway sleepers and stones.

A new front pathway and garden made with weed mat, pavers, stones, sleepers and concrete.

8. Side yard access improved with concrete path by @Nham 

 

Fresh concrete with a charcoal semi-gloss sealer provided a neat and practical solution to an overgrown side pathway.
