Hi guys,
just a quick question,
I would like to replace both covers, do I just need to unscrew it and replace it with a new cover? Would that be fine?
thanks
Hi @porropie
Those covers are in perfect shape
Just paint them masking the lawn paint them greeen
Or better yet use left over grass and cut out round shapes and glue it on to the covers. just avoid glue onto the outer screw holee so the egde of the lawn can be lifted and access the screws at need.
Hi @porropie,
A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community and thank you for your question.
As @Jewelleryrescue has said, functionally there is nothing wrong with them, but if you'd like them to look nicer there's no reason you can't replace them.
You can unscrew and replace the cap as long as the screw holes line up. The only issue with this is you will have a nice-looking cap with a worn ring around the outside. If you are fine with this, there is nothing stopping you.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
Jacob
Thanks for the reply
i want to change the cover as they are cracked, so thought it would be better if I change them
Thanks for the advice
All good @porropie
The cracks where not apparent to us in photos so we didnt suggest replacements right away.
But your golden now. I still like the the cap cover up solution for my place.
