Hi,
Im planning to paint my outdoor wall. I did pressure washed first and sadly some of the cement on the wall was peeling off
And some of them are worse, as now i can see the bricks.
Any suggestion on how to repair these, please. Which product and tools that I need? Any step that i need to do first?
Your help/advice really appreicated.
Thank you,
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Edsu13. It's brilliant to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about repairing render.

The render has weakened, so it’s important to address this thoroughly. Start by assessing the wall for any other loose or unstable areas of render. Use a scraper or chisel to carefully remove all loose material, as leaving it could result in more peeling and ruin your new paint job. Once the loose material is removed, clean the exposed areas with a stiff brush to get rid of dust and debris. This will help ensure a strong bond when applying the repair material.
For patching, use a pre-mixed render repair product suitable for outdoor use. Apply it with a trowel, working it into the damaged areas and smoothing it out or stippling it with a sponge to match the existing wall texture. Allow it to dry as per the product’s instructions. After repairing, prime the repaired sections before painting to ensure even coverage and adhesion.
