Re: decking

Hello @Kimmac

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about the pedestal feet for decking.

The position of the pedestal feet is dependent on the size of the timber you are using for your decking frame. For example, the footing for the 90x45 timber framing is usually suggested to be placed at 1 meter apart. Technically the span table will tell you that you can have it a little bit farther away, but it is safer to have it closer to prevent the deck frame from being bouncy. I suggest having a look at these guides - How to build a low-level deck by @Adam_W and How to build a deck by @MitchellMc.

I also recommend having a look at this discussion - Low-level composite deck over concrete and soil by @oninpena. It will give you a very good idea of how to plan your decking frame.

I also suggest having a look at the Bunnings deck building guide:

If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.
