Do the builders edge decking feet need to be mechanically secured to a concrete alfresco base?

A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community and thank you for your question.

The range of Builders Edge Pedestal Feet does not require mechanical anchoring to your concrete alfresco.

Your deck will essentially float over the alfresco with the weight of the deck keeping everything in place.

If you'd like some added security, you can add Dunnings 60 x 60 x 70mm M10 Galvanised Angle Brackets with 10 x 75mm AnkaScrews to attach your joists to the concrete.
