Hi, i have these stepped trips in my alfresco that have all the paint peeling and im wondering what its called i cant find the name of it anywhere. See below pics, its in my outdoor alfresco and my front porch i want to purchase new rather than waste time sanding etc.
Cheers
Hi @tomg145,
The trim profile you're showing isn't particularly common, and it doesn’t seem like there's a direct replacement available in our trim selection. It looks like the stepped profile may have been used to accommodate two different heights of plasterboard. Typically, a cover trim is used between two sheets that are at the same height.
Since direct replacements may not be readily available, sanding the existing trim could be your best option to remove the peeling paint and restore the finish. An electric palm sander should hopefully make the task more manageable. If you're not keen on sanding, another option is to use two standard trims to try and recreate a similar stepped look. You can attach them together to mimic the original profile while still achieving a clean, new appearance.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
