What materials should I use for my DIY catio?

LXHXW 3800 x 2300 x 1000

I was originally thinking 90x35 mg10 but I need something more cost efficient. I'm unsure on what I should use whilst keeping costs at bare minimum.

Re: What materials should I use for my DIY catio?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Drtangello. It's terrific to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about building a catio.

You could potentially drop from 90 x 35mm to 70 x 35mm and save yourself $1.50 per lineal metre. However, using structural timber is likely to be the most cost-effective way to achieve a sturdy structure. That would be around $157 for the timber.

Using 25mm conduit and Ezyfit fittings would likely be a cheaper option. The enclosure won't be as structurally sound, so you'll need to mount it adequately to the adjacent wall.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
