What is the most cost-effective composite decking?

I would like to enquire about the most cost effective composite decking for an alfresco. I see the following makes are available: Trexdeck, Wooden, Millboard, Ekodeck, Brite, Enduradeck and sun decking - difficult to choose the mid range or best.

Thanks

Rob

Re: What is the most cost-effective composite decking?

Hello @Rob11

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's marvellous to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about composite decking.

I'm sorry, but I am only familiar with Ekodeck. Ekodeck composite decking is slip-resistant, making it a safe choice for families with children and pets. This composite decking is also available with fire-resistant properties, which is particularly important in areas with high bushfire risk. Check out the BAL-29 rated Flame Fighter range for more information.

Ekodeck’s uniquely designed composites have been specifically developed to withstand Australia’s harsh weather conditions, giving you a fresh look all year round. These decking boards are fully compliant with the NCC and BCA for installation in both residential and commercial applications. It can be cut and drilled into using standard tools, plus it requires no oiling, no sealing and will not fade.

I suggest visiting your local store and having a look at the Ekodeck sample board.

Here are some fantastic examples of Ekodeck composite decking projects shared by Workshop members:

Hello Eric,

Thank you so much for your response. Is there anyone in Batemans area that I can to contact for installing Ekodeck on my Alfresco.

Cheers

Re: What is the most cost-effective composite decking?

Hi @Rob11,

I'm sure you'll be able to find someone who can install Ekodeck for you by using a service such as HiPages or True Local.

Search for carpenters who specialise in decks, I'm sure there will be plenty that can help.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Jacob
