What decking beams?

I am going to build a small deck in my back yard. i am wondering if Bunnings provide decking beams.the size would be:

Lomg 2.3 metre

High: 150 mm

width: 50mm

Quantity: 4

Thank you for your question about procuring timbers for your deck project.

While we don't provide these exact dimensions, 140 x 45mm Outdoor Framing H3 Treated Pine - 2.4m is very close and is commonly used as the structure of a deck. They are H3 treated, meaning they can be used outdoors without any issues as long as they are not in direct contact with the ground.

Thank you Jacob. The the deck i am going to build is a small one with size of 1.35 m x 2.00 m. I think I'll take these beans from Bunnings. Although they are slightly smaller than what I mentioned. But it's convenient to get them from Bunnings.

I have another question: the beans will seat on the existing concrete step on one end. In order to prevent the water dam comes from the concrete into the timber bean, there shout be a metal device insert into between the timber bean and the concrete slap.

Does Bunnings also provide these metal device?

Hi @ruby2020,

You'll need a protective layer in that area, but I'm unaware of a metal device. You could either paint the side that's contacting the concrete with bitumen paint or you could raise the beams on plastic packers.
