I have been installing the castellated panel from Ekodeck, cutting the 3.6m lengths into 2. Is there a trim that I can use to finish the top edge?
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @LeeT1. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about Ekodeck Castellated panels.
There are a couple of trims designed to suit the castellated panels, which we can order in for you. Just see the helpful team at your local store's Special Orders counter.
Alternatively, you can create a neat finish by cutting down an Ekodeck board to use as a capping piece along the top edge. This approach allows you to match the existing material and colour, keeping a consistent look for your project.
To do this, measure the width and length of the top edge and cut the Ekodeck board to size, ensuring it aligns well with the castellated panels. Secure the board using appropriate fasteners, like Ekodeck screws or hidden fasteners, to maintain a clean look without visible hardware. If you prefer, you can sand the edges of the cut board slightly to soften them for a smoother finish. This custom approach provides a durable and visually seamless top trim that complements the rest of the installation.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
