My front path was rough, plain concrete, I wanted something more inviting and colourful for the entrance if my home. I found the cement tiles on line, originally I wasn’t having the border but plans change and I ordered the second lot of tiles to surround the flowers. I used a range of sample tiles and coloured squares from
Bunnings to create the mosaic for my street number in front of the gate.
Variety of tiles
tile adhesive
grout
sealer
Angle grinder
tile cutters
sponges
trowels
Make the area as clean as possible, remove all dirt and garden matter.
Do a dry run of the tiles to see how they fit and make the necessary cuts.
Mix the powder adhesive and apply to the area. Place the tiles and wipe off excess adhesive.
Apply the grout after 48 hours.
Instructions for both the glue and grout are on the packets and may vary according to type.
What a truly lovely entrance to your home that you've created @HarrietArthur! I'm sure all your visitors are filled with a little joy every time they come by.
I love the tile choice for the path, and your entry mosaicing is just fabulous.
Well done, and many thanks for sharing!
