Want suggestions for spa pool fencing and landscaping

I’m a novice with endless ideas however no experience!! We are landscaping garden, putting a slab down to support weight &  installation of a spa 3.5 x 2.5m with decking, privacy screen’s. looking for suggestions on removable fencing options. (Understanding & not ignoring pool safety requirement) as area is small, was looking at glass, would this be possible & easy to do?
As we have to remove majority of garden bed & greenery, would like to plant creepers to grow along privacy screens, that visually attractive- would climbing jasmine work?

Will appreciate any ideas and suggestions

colour chart:

grey: privacy screen (climbing jasmine?)

red: Left side: deck extension allowing small garden bed with reticulation for creeper.  Right side: decking to wall

blue: slab with spa

pink: glass fence

(deck behind spa will be extended to wall with a couple steps leading up on right )

Re: Want suggestions for spa pool fencing and landscaping

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @AndsIzzy. It's terrific to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about fencing and landscaping.

It would be helpful to hear a little more about what type of removable fencing options you were considering. Glass pool fencing is certainly an option, and it could be removed at a later date if needed. I wouldn't exactly consider it a removable option, though. Do you want a permanent compliant fence installed? If so, it would be best to speak with a professional who could design a compliant fence and sign off on it. The ease of installation would be determined by what needs to be done. Typically, the installation is fairly straightforward.

Jasmine would be a great option to add some greenery to your screening. Orange trumpet vine is another fast-growing climbing plant you should consider. If you are looking for immediate privacy, I'd suggest going for something like the SpecRite 1800 x 902mm Pre-Oiled Merbau Alternating Slat Fence Panel and then growing the Jasmine over it.

Creeper-wise, a creeping fig would be very impactful, grown over a solid structure. It looks fantastic as it spreads out.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Re: Want suggestions for spa pool fencing and landscaping

Thank you for your input Mitchell that is so helpful

We were hoping to have a fence we could remove, however after reading your reply, we think it will be best to go for the compliant fence!

We also re-thinking the screen and looking at the Matrix wall art panels, and then perhaps planting Vibernum ‘quick fence’ which ultimately should be a good sound barrier when it grows? Would that be a good thick shrub that grows fairly quickly or is there another option?

thank you again for your help ☺️

Re: Want suggestions for spa pool fencing and landscaping

Hello @AndsIzzy

I believe Viburnum will do just fine as it is a fast-growing shrub. In the right conditions it could even grow as tall as 4 meters. The Matrix wall art panels are great for coverage while you wait for the shrub to grow.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.
