Tips for chipped rendering (that damn line trimmer)

Hi, looking for help on how to best fix chipped rendering caused by me being overzealous with the line trimmer (pics attached).

 

Location is a front of house pillar with the rendering coming right off (pics below)

I would use an  artist kit  paint  with aryilic  paint and mix black and white to make a  gray  closest to your gray  render and  just paint over it.

 

Not  alot more to be done If you wish use  some aluminium plate  or checker plate to glue onto the post so the line wont hurt it into the future as it is hard to snip the  grass blades close to the  render.
