Re: The fire pit
Great work @Ianna_2152, that looks terrific. Many thanks for sharing.
Fire pits are becoming really popular, aren't they? Workshop members have recently been discussing them in this thread - DIY fire pit ideas.
Let me extend a very warm welcome to the Workshop community. It's great to have you join us. I'm looking forward to seeing some of your other projects soon.

Re: The fire pit
Thanks for joining the discussion and a very warm welcome to Workshop. I hope you find the site to be informative, inspirational and plenty of fun.
Do you know what types of rocks they are? If you don't perhaps you could take a photo and share it with the community.

Re: The fire pit
Hi there, Are we allowed to use a firepit like this in Christchurch? Restrictions on outdoor BBQ's, open fires, will affect the use of a firepit, I would think.
Thanks for your advice

Re: The fire pit
You should check with your local council @PeterMairehau. For example, in my area you are not allowed to have an open fire in your backyard other than for the purpose of cooking food. So I imagine most people just have a sausage or a marshmellow nearby to cover themselves!
