Hey all
Thought I'd get a new thread going to talk BBQ in 2019. I'm hoping to be much more active this year on the community now that I have some more time.
So over the break, we had a shot at our own version of the McRib (because let's face it, McDonald's one isn't great) as part of a competition on the Aus BBQ Alliance Group. We didn't win, but the end result was pretty amazing. We put the recipe up over here https://www.moonshinebbq.com.au/rib-sandwich/
So what did everyone cook over the break? Keen to see it, and any new toys!
Oh wow, those ribs look epic @MoonshineBen.
How did you do them?
I've haven't pulled out the kamado in a while. You've inspired me to get it out... After all, there's no reason not to let the cold weather stop you from enjoying barbecue in winter.

Thanks @Jason , was very happy with them
In the Weber using Heat Beads lump charcoal, they got 90 mins of peach smoke, then an hour in a wrap of butter, sugar and honey, then glazed for the last 20 mins.
Probably the best I've cooked in a long time.
I'm heading to the in-laws - where I keep a smoker....
So it could be a ribs kind of weekend!
Thanks for such healthy discussion on the topic of BBQ Grills. It really help me out in getting the valueable insight.
Followed your pork ribs recipe on Saturday @MoonshineBen. They were delicious and very easy.
Thanks again for sharing.
