This slab came from a Sequoia tree that came down in heavy winds in Ballarat Botanical Gardens.
I left it to dry for just over 3 years.
It's now destined to be a drinks and nibbles table for our covered deck area.
Table top is finished with Feast Watson Outdoor Furniture Oil. Legs are made from a big slab of messmate I got from a house demolition.
Thank you for sharing this project @ksd050 .
You have chosen a stunning finish that really brings out the warm tones of this slab of sequoia. Can you tell us a bit more about how you constructed the legs and what you used to join the top to the legs? We look forward to hearing about your next creative project around your house and garden and thank you for providing such inspiring photos.

The legs are just simple dado and rabbet jointed pieces. I have a table saw and dado stack which make these kinds of joints very fast and easily repeatable.
They're attached to the slab via 4 M8 threaded inserts which are embedded in the slab.
Hi @ksd050,
That's a stunning table! Many thanks for sharing the additional details.
I'll be looking forward to your next project.
