Hello @425314
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's wonderful to have you join us, and thank you so much for sharing your Pergola project.
What a fantastic-looking Pergola. I'm truly impressed at all the little details that you've gone out of your way to install in your project. The Bunker Lights and the chandelier were a nice touch. The shiplap just gives it that exquisite Hampton finish and makes it look like a million dollars. How long did the entire project take to complete? Would you happen to have any tips or advice for our members who are planning on doing a similar project? Any information you can share would be much appreciated.
Again, thank you for sharing your Pergola project.
Eric

I have a better than average hands on DIY skills, along with a garage of tools which i enjoy using .
This all started with my wife wanting a pergola, she saw one online which was from Bunnings via special orders and came from Softwoods in Western Australia - both Bunnings and Softwoods were very helpful with plans to get a permit as the size 6mt x 3.8mt requires a Council Building permit.
Now i have a few really tips to mention - The Pergola kit came with everything precut and fancying joins done making it easy to assemble, I added paint, and the shiplap boards to the inside also the Bunker lights came from my favorite supply store BUNNINGS.
Now down to construction tips the kit came with very strong footings cyclone rated which i used as my backyard has a slight fall to it , over the length of the pergola it is 250mm. I would recommend put down a slab first it would have made the job a lot easier to work from. As i had to brace and support posts while building the pergola came pre cut ready to paint and erect, but your got to be spot on with all measurements or it will not line up so take your time . with the help of a mate the frame was up in one day and my brother help me put the shiplap and iron on on another day after i mixed and poured the concrete footings with the help of my son, Thanks NED. Marcus and Peter.
This looks amazing, which kit did you use?
