From drab to FAB 🤩. Done whilst on paternity leave for a few weeks. Was a complete mosh pit of mud clay and just basically a swamp… bought the eco deck products from Bunnings framing timber ect and away we went.. such an improvement we love it and so does all our family friends and neighbours as it makes our entertaining area a more usable space love it and can’t wait for summer or for the heater to arrive during winter.
Hello @brettawatts
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's fabulous to have you join us, and thank you for sharing your decking project.
What an amazing transformation and thank you for sharing your progress shots of the build. I'm sure this area will be the centre of many happy family gatherings. It's great to see that you've taken drainage into consideration by using gravel in the open area. What size of timber did you use for the deck framing? How long did the entire project take to finish?
Any other information you can share about the decking build would be very much appreciated.
We look forward to seeing your next project.
Eric
Hi eric
In total it took my neighbour and I 4 weekends with the rain ect waiting for concrete to set as we used posts in the clay ground ect. It would have taken us a total of 2 full weekends if their was no rain. We used 90*45 framing timber & the eco deck plank size was 5.4m
long 23cm wide with a 3mm gap between boards using the clips pack from the trade desk. So simple to do once the frame was done
