Not a particularly worthy project to show, but it works quite well and I like the mobility of the table.
Lots of wood. 😁
All available at Bunnings.
A variety of screws.
Wheels. A Bunnings 4 pack with two lockable rotating wheels.
Paint.
Varnish.
Drop saw.
Impact driver.
Router.
Paint brush.
It started off as just a long 3.7 metre pallet.
No ends. No sides.
And it it was horribly warped.
It was part of a display from a secondhand furniture shop that was closing down - and it was supported by two galvanised drums. They were using it as a display counter.
Now being sold as a bar table. Wishful thinking I thought based on the pallet condition.
Anyway, much to wife's disgust I bought it home.
First step was to unbuckle the pallet with strategic clamping and screw a face around it with 25 X 150mm wood.
Routed curved edges.
Sanded.
Lacquered.
Construct frame ends. Initially I was thinking steel, but went with wood.
Added wheels.
At this stage the wood was only partially constructed as I wasn't sure about the height.
Good thing, as it was initially too high.
Unscrewed the frames and shortened the vertical members.
New height perfect.
Strengthen the end frames.
Added wood sheeting to create two end platforms - what for I don't know.
Paint.
Nice Project @Noyade
Good and solid might need a few more chairs lol just joking.
Nice rustic look for years to come
Hi @Noyade
This is your subconscious telling you to build the longest beer pong table in preparation for the upcoming holiday celebrations. Excellent project!
Eric
Slowly acquiring more chairs, as the budget allows.
I'm very impressed with Bunning's Lifetime Folding Chairs.
Sturdy.
Comfortable.
Outdoor resistant and fold-away storage.
Inexpensive.
Highly recommended.
👍
Afternoon @Noyade
We are way too hard on ourselves, I really like what you have done to it. Something Id be happy to have in and around the deck outside!
You did make me laugh at "Anyway, much to wife's disgust I bought it home" hahahahah Definently done that a few times (best I did when I was married was 2 of 1930s square lounge seats that had been out in the rain on the side of the road...)
A nice job and something id copy.
Dave
