Outdoor Kaboodle kitchen
Good afternoon guys.
I’m looking to build an outside Kaboodle kitchen.
I’m at a loss on how to design the BBQ drop in section.
It would seem I’m missing something? Or are people altering an aspect?
I just want draws into one side 900
then maybe some cupboards under the bbq and then I’m having a fridge under the other side. Very simple.. well so I thought. All Kaboodle bases are 720 high, so how do you get the bbq drop in section? Raise the sides? Get cupboards n cut down? Please enlighten me, as I am in fear I’m over complicating the situation.

Re: Outdoor Kaboodle kitchen
Hello @mmasci
Thank you very much for posting that update on your outdoor kitchen. It looks awesome and the timber benchtop really adds a nice warm feel to the area. My only other suggestion is to use a BBQ cover to prevent outdoor dust and grease buildup on your BBQ.
Again, thank you for sharing such a wonderful project.

Re: Outdoor Kaboodle kitchen
This is exactly what I’d like just in a smaller size where can I find the product details/ID. I’d like to make this is approx 2450mm length with a fridge recess

Re: Outdoor Kaboodle kitchen
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @wilkos. It's terrific to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about creating an outdoor kitchen.
There's been a couple of images of outdoor kitchens in this discussion, one with an inbuilt BBQ on a bench and the other by @mmasci utilising a freestanding BBQ. What design were you going for?
The Kaboodle base cabinets can be used in an enclosed alfresco area, provided they are not exposed to the elements. Due to their modular nature, you will be able to achieve something very close to your desired length. Since you'll be creating your own length, I cannot currently provide specific product IDs. If you can let us know the width of your BBQ and fridge, I can then assist with selecting the appropriate cabinets to make up your 2450mm length.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

That’s @MitchellMc !
yeh the one with the black bench top looked great, I believe it was in a bunnings store as a display? That’s what I’d like to achieve

Re: Outdoor Kaboodle kitchen
That's certainly achievable, @wilkos. However, those glass doors are no longer available from Kaboodle. The rest is just their base cabinets, and you'll need to select suitable sizes for your needs. As mentioned, if you can let me know your BBQ and fridge width, I can help with the selection. The cabinets under the BBQ are three 600mm slimline cabinets positioned on their sides. The benchtop is constructed using Essential stone and their suitable colours are caviar and liquorice. These two colours are both fire-rated and suitable for exterior use.

Re: Outdoor Kaboodle kitchen
Thanks @MitchellMc
it will most likely be the matador bar fridge and the Matadoor palladium 4 burner bbq, can I get a griddle plate with that bbq?
id essentially like storage under bbq, fridge on RHS and more storage on LHS.
with the fire rating, is it enough to have a pizza oven on?
can a hole be drilled in bench top to suit kegeragorator also?

Re: Outdoor Kaboodle kitchen
The three Kaboodle 600mm Slimline Wall Cabinets will be wide enough to accommodate the Palladium BBQ at 937mm. You'll then have 503mm to the right-hand side of it for the Matador bar fridge. On the left of the BBQ, that leaves you with around 947mm, which would be perfect for two Kaboodle 450mm White Base Cabinets.
The Matador Palladium 4 Burner Built-In BBQ comes with a grill plate and solid flat plate.
Although the stone benchtops are heat resistant, as with the BBQ placement, there must be an air gap. You'd need to look at pizza ovens that are raised on feet so that heat does not directly transfer to the benchtop. The benchtop can be drilled to install accessories.
I've added a rendering below. Be advised that as the Essential Stone benchtops require custom work I am unable to add the required benchtop under the BBQ placement area on top of the Kaboodle slimline cabinets.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Re: Outdoor Kaboodle kitchen
@MitchellMc Awesome,
are you able to provide me something I can take to special orders desk and have them quote up and order all needed?
how do I go about getting another recess next to the fridge to hold a kegorator like this https://themoderncave.com.au/products/series-x-triple-tap-kegerator?variant=46058714071323
obviously that extends it past 2450 but that’s ok.
with the palladium what would be the best way for the air gap?

Re: Outdoor Kaboodle kitchen
Hi @wilkos,
Currently, you require three Kaboodle 600mm Slimline Wall Cabinets, two Kaboodle 450mm White Base Cabinets, and two Kaboodle 450mm Gloss White Modern Cabinet Doors.
Given that the benchtop you would like is a customer order that needs to be installed by the supplier, I recommend you take the image below into a store to discuss your requirements with our Special Prders team.
