Anyone could help to give design ideas my patio please?
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Afrin. It's a pleasure to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about design ideas.
Your patio has great potential, and a few updates could really modernise the space. One of the most noticeable elements is the green Colorbond fence, which can make the area feel a bit dated. Painting it in a more contemporary colour, such as a deep charcoal or a warm neutral, would instantly freshen things up. Alternatively, you could install Merbau panels in front of it for a stylish, natural look that adds warmth and texture.
The pool fence and view could also be improved by replacing the older cream fencing with frameless glass panels. This would open up the space visually, making the area feel more seamless while highlighting the pool as a feature.
Where you have the lounge and barbecue, the aged concrete slab could benefit from a refresh. A concrete paint could be a quick and budget-friendly fix, but for a more high-end look, consider tiling the area with large-format porcelain or natural stone pavers. This would provide a modern, durable surface that enhances the entire space.
The Besser block wall could also use an update. A simple coat of paint in a colour that complements the rest of your space would make a big difference, or if you prefer a more natural finish, timber panelling could be installed to add warmth and texture.
You might also consider adding outdoor feature lighting or climbing plants to soften the look and create a more inviting atmosphere.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Dear Mitchell,
Thank you for your thoughtful design suggestions! I appreciate your insights on modernizing the space and enhancing its warmth and texture.
I am looking for a warm-toned flooring option that won’t show dust easily when it rains. Additionally, I want to add a timber/plastic background behind the flower pots to complement the overall design. Could you please recommend the best flooring and timber color combination for this setup?
Looking forward to your advice.

Hi @Afrin,
Let me also extend a very warm welcome to the community.
The two things that jump out at me that would be great things to tackle first are the uneven and different paved surfaces, and removing what seems like unnecessary old pool fencing. The former is obviously a big job to remove the concrete in particular, but uniform decking or paving would be a great foundation for a revamped outdoor entertaining area.
Let me tag a few wonderful members for their thoughts: @TedBear, @Nailbag, @Jimi, @Codey and @prettyliving.
