Leaking water at solar hot water system
I've got rinnai solar water system. Today I have observed that lot of water leaking from the pipe which is connecting Mains to the system. Can anyone guide me how to fix this ? Thanks a lot.

Re: Leaking water at solar hot water system
Hi @ppp You can fix it quickly but temporarily with silicone tape but you'll need a plumber to do the proper repair.
If it's only a new(ish) install the installer should be repairing that as an emergency job.

Re: Leaking water at solar hot water system
Is that a split in the copper pipe below the join?
And on internal side of the bend?
What would cause that?
All looks very new.
As above, plumber.

Re: Leaking water at solar hot water system
Thanks both of you. I will contact professional for fixing this. Installed more than 3 years ago. Not sure about warranty. Will call them and find out.
Just one questions pls, Do you think I should call installer company only (Rinnai) to fix this ?
OR can I call any plumber is okay for this job ?

Re: Leaking water at solar hot water system
Hi ppp
I'm very interested and sympathetic to your plight as I had a gas hot water system (Vulcan) installed this year. In my case - I'd definitely contact the plumber or company who installed it. I'm no plumber - but a weird place for a crack?
And in the meantime use that tape Adam mentioned above.
Sincerely, best of luck.
