Kids sandpit plans and ideas?

Hey all me again thought id ask anyone have any experience in making kids sandpits? Looking for plans and ideas for chrissy

I have a plan that I found in a magazine I got from the Hospice Shop. I’ll scan it and send a copy once I get my scanner running. I like these plans because part of the play area is storage.

I'm sure a sandpit would be a popular Christmas present with the kids. 

Have you seen the pirate ship sandpit plans on the Bunnings website? I'll embed the video below.

Hey all so heres the update. We went to bunnings for sleepers (1.5m x 20cm x 5cm) hand planed it till it was smooth then measured 1.3m for width did a half joint (forgot propper name) used enamel paint. The next step will be either a bench seat lid or a chalk board lid. The base will be just a tarp that will be tucked into the pit and sand dumped ontop. Pics below
