Is the Rain Bird 32ETI (Battery) Timer Weather Proof or does it need a Cover?

I'm almost certain that the controller for the Rain Bird 32ETI is rated for outdoor use. But just to be safe I've sent an inquiry to Rain Bird and as soon as they get back to us, I'll let you know.

The Rain Bird customer service team has pointed to their manual on page 15 indicating that the timer is for outdoor use with cold water only.
