The front of our house needed a new fence as the old one, which was probably built in the Jurassic Period, was looking a little tired and unappealing. After some thought in regard to adding some street appeal to our property, and since we live in a beachside village, we decided on a fence built out of Ironbark in the style of 40 x 40 vertical battens which lends itself the the beachside vibe.

Let me tag @DIY4Knuckleheds as well to make sure they are aware of your kind words and questions. I totally agree that the fence they built is just outstanding. In regards to the jig used, DIY4Knuckleheds really went out of his way to make a perfect jig so that everything lines up. They also used a Macsim 10g Clever Tool Standard Head for that perfect countersink.
My best advice is to make sure that your straight edge is perfectly straight so that everything lines up. But I would still encourage you to use a spirit level just to be sure.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Glad you liked the fence Chris 👍 The jig l used was pretty basic. I just used a strip of 9mm MDF with holes drilled in for the screw holes and a piece attached to the side so that the holes finished up perfectly in the middle of the board. Good luck with it!
Cheers,
Shane 👍
Thanks Shane - perfect! I’ve been using a piece of aluminium right angle with some holes for centres… it’s slow going (thought I must be missing something!). If it turns out anywhere near as nice as yours it’ll be worth the effort.
Thanks again,
Chris
Wish l had have thought of using your aluminium angle Chris....that's perfect! Well done 👍😁
