I have knocked out the aluminium shutters and surrounding framing from our previously enclosed sunroom/spa room. I am going to put a low deck over the tiles as a floor transition but am looking for a transition from the outside rendered blue board to the inside tiled area. Preferably some type of end cap would be best, but open to ideas.
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Helmutson. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about transitions.
I apologise for the delay in my reply.
Say this was the original configuration; the timberwork you've exposed would have been enclosed with Blueboard, and you could replicate this approach by extending the Blueboard around the corner to meet the tiled area. This would create a seamless look and provide a clean surface for finishing. To enhance the transition, you might consider installing a timber trim or decorative moulding over the Blueboard to add a feature element, such as a defined edge or a visual break between the exterior and interior.
Another option is to use a custom solution, such as a small piece of hardwood or composite decking that acts as a capping strip between the Blueboard and tiles. This would require sealing and weatherproofing to ensure durability.
Ultimately, the choice depends on the style you’re aiming for, the materials you’re working with, and the level of exposure the transition will have to weather and wear.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks Mitchell,
I decided to do something very similar to what you suggested.
I've put some villaboard over it, waterproofed it with tape and waterproofing membrane, and have purchased some 140mm Merbau decking boards that I will use as a capping trim.
Should come up nicely.
Thanks for the reply.
