I was prepping up for laying artificial grass. Cleaned up the soil. Put a layer of weed barrier and laid 40mm crushed stone underlay. While I left it for a few weeks to focus on my deck, now I see grass growing. How can I get rid of it for good. I used a grass killer but the range is big.
Hi @RonnyDeol,
You've done all the right things so far, but certain species of grass use underground runners known as rhizomes that can find their way through gaps and cause the grass to reappear where you don't want it to.
I'd suggest spot-spraying the grass with Roundup, following the manufacturer's mixing ratios and ensuring you don't overspray any plants you wish to keep, as it will kill all plant life that it touches. Apply it on a dry day with no wind and give it a couple of weeks to fully take effect.
Make sure you wear gloves, protective clothing, a mask and eye protection while spraying.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
