How to seal rusty panels

Change of (location) plans with my rusty fireplace. Instead of under the alfresco with chimney through the existing roof, I'm going to set it up in the pool area.

My concern is the stains on the pavers from the rusted panels when they get wet - this is what i want to avoid.

I plan to thoroughly hose it down to get as much excess rust particles off it followed by sealing it with something. Can anyone suggest a product/process to seal it?

TIA

Thurmalox Stove Paint 293 if you want a clear coat over the rust look.

If your old you call it stove paint or pot belly paint and if your young it is heat resistant paint.

Re: How to seal rusty panels

Thanks @Brad. I did think about a simple clear coat type spray/solution but worried it'd flake off in a) the high heat, and b) the fluctuating temperatures. But this could address the high heat issue at least.

I've since heard that Penetrol is the way to go so waiting on a call back form the manufacturer. Will keep you posted.

@ProjectPete

If you want colour why not try engine enamel.  Not sure if it comes in clear.
