How to seal courtyard tiles to avoid stains?

Hello, I've had beautiful new plant pots installed but they've made a bit of a mess of my courtyard tiles. I have a bore water stain remover that I've tested and will remove the tannin stains but I'm wondering if I should seal the tile after I clean it? Of course I would have to leave the tiles under the pots unsealed.

Hi @todaytuesday,

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community.

Can you please tell us if you know what tiles are on your courtyard so our members can provide more helpful and specific advice about sealing them.

Many thanks,

Jason

Re: How to seal tile to avoid stains?

Hi @todaytuesday,

Thank you for your question and welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community.

Sealing your pavers is definitely worthwhile to help prevent staining in the future.

I can't be 100% sure but they certainly look like they are natural stone pavers.

If this is the case, after cleaning you can use Crommelin Natural DiamondCoat Slate And Stone Sealer, following the instructions on the label for application.

Have a look at How To Seal Outdoor Pavers for some guidance on this process.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Jacob
