Hello @adam98
Thank you for asking about your door frame and security door. In order to get more details about your security door fitting, would it be possible for you to post a picture of the door to which you are planning to attach the security door? Can you also please include the measurements of the opening?
A good example of an adjustable security door is 2030-2070 x 808-848 x 19mm Barrier Door Aluminium Adjustable Black from Protector Aluminium. It's designed to fit commonly sized door frames so that you don't have to order a custom-sized security door.
However, you mentioned that you also needed a frame to attach the security door to. Does it mean that your door is flush with the outside frame or is there not enough space for the security door handle? This is why we would need to see your door situation. Our members would then be able to assess the space available. We can then make recommendations on how to proceed.
If you need a hand posting the photos, please let us know.
Eric
Hi Adam98,
without knowing your circumstances or location, I would personally go for Jarrah as a security door frame because it is White Ant resistant, rot resistant and very strong. But, the final choice will depend on what your local options are.
@EricLmay have some other ideas when you reply to him with further details.
