Hello!
I have some white decorations on the window, they seem to be painted on or similar. What is the easiest way of removing these?
I have tried scratching them off but they leave a slight mark on the window still
Thanks,
Alex
Hi @Al-renos,
Many thanks for your question about removing glazing decals from your windows.
Are these markings on a sliding glass door or window?
If so, it is worth mentioning that under the NCC (National Construction Code) it is a requirement to make the glass visible by marking. You might like to have a read of Part 3.6 Glazing | NCC for some guidance.
With this being said, the easiest way to remove these decals is to soak them with Glitz 2L Cleaning Vinegar and scrape them off with a utility knife blade such as these Stanley Heavy Duty Knife Blades.
Please ensure you take all necessary precautions and ensure you wear gloves, long sleeves and eye protection when working with these knife blades, I'd hate for you to get an unnecessary laceration.
Let me know if you have any questions or need further assistance.
