Hello , I am new to community and would need help in beautifying my backyard lawn . Could see patches of mould in the grass as attached . Please advise how to remove those and also how to clean the grass to get a new lawn feeling 😀 .
Appreciate your help and support .
Thanks ,
Poojana
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Poojana. It's terrific to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about artificial lawn.
It looks like the patches on the artificial lawn are likely moss, which can be effectively removed using a high-pressure washer. I'd suggest blasting the affected areas, but be cautious—holding the nozzle too close could damage the turf, especially if it's deteriorating.
How large is the affected area? If it's a small section, it might be worth considering replacing that part, or the whole lot, with new lawn. We have a wide range of artificial turf to select from. Let me know if you need a hand choosing.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Mitchell
Hi @MitchellMc ,
Thanks for the advice. I will try out the first option using High pressure washer method. As we are interim in this place, will not go ahead with replacing with new turf.
Can we rent the high-pressure washer @MitchellMc
Thanks,
Poojana
Hi @Poojana,
You can hire this High Pressure Cleaner through most stores Hire Shop, however it would be best to call ahead to confirm availability.
There is also reasonably priced options for purchase such as this Ozito 1000W 1160PSI High Pressure Washer HPW-1160 or this Karcher K2 1750 PSI Universal Pressure Washer.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
Jacob
Thanks Jacob. I will buy the washer and take chance to take out moss from lawn. Will update to you soon.
Thanks,
Pooja
