How to protect wood structural pillars?

I've got some timber structural pillars that I want to try and protect from the elements.

I'm not sure if they've been treated in the past.

Any product recommendations?

I actually use The great blue F social media "memories" to remind me. So Ive just reoiled a bunch of stuff, I post the pics on my page and then in a years time "bingo" pics show up, materials I need are listed and even how long it took me the previous year Using social media algorithims for myself instead of adds
