How to prevent movement in tiled retaining wall?

We've got a retained area next to our pool which is tiled. One section is moving further way (please see pictures). I'd appreciate any advice and help on the following:

1. Is there anything that can be done to prevent further movement?

2. What can be done to repair the damage/gap that currently exists?

Re: Prevent movement in tiled retaining wall

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Bandit. It's terrific to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about preventing movement.

The amount of movement seen here suggests significant subsidence, which can be difficult to resolve. Unfortunately, there’s not much you can do to prevent further movement without addressing the underlying cause of the subsidence, which typically involves professional stabilisation of the soil or area. I recommend reaching out to a company that specialises in soil stabilisation or foundation repairs to assess the issue and provide a more permanent solution.

For repairing the gap, you could push a filler rod into the space as a backing and then fill the gap with a product like Sikaflex 11FC, which is a strong adhesive and sealant. This won’t fix the movement but will help reduce the appearance of the gap and prevent water from seeping in, which could cause further damage. However, it’s important to note that this is an aesthetic repair and does not address the underlying structural issue, which should be dealt with by a professional to prevent future movement.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
