How to paint a concrete driveway?

Hi my next project I want to try is painting my concrete driveway and the pergola after my timber has finished tanning.

After gurney and cleaning the driveway do I need a primer before paint and then a sealer? Or is 2 coats of paint enough?

Hi @Effie09,

You'll need to follow the application directions on the product you are using, as they might differ slightly. Some might call for an acid etch, but I haven't seen any that have a primer for bare concrete or a sealer topcoat. 

Has the concrete been painted before, and could you please share some images with us? That will assist our members with whether there are any additional steps you need to consider.
