How to neaten expanding foam around pipe?
The gaps around these pipes have been filled with expanding foam. After sanding the foam back and cleaning it off the pipes, how can the area look better
What would be a suitable paint.
Are “sample pots” available in exterior paint and colour matched.
I presume interior paint is not an option.

Re: How to neaten expanding foam around pipe?
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Glendav. It's sensational to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about neatening expanding foam.
It looks like the expanding foam might have been applied over a partially completed mortar fill, so removing the foam entirely and finishing the gap with mortar could be a neater and more durable solution. A properly smoothed mortar joint will blend seamlessly with the wall and provide a polished appearance around the pipe. However, if you prefer to keep the foam, painting it can enhance its look.
Start by sanding and shaping the foam for a smooth, even finish, then clean the surface thoroughly to remove any dust or residue. For painting, use a high-quality exterior paint to ensure durability and protection against the elements. While sample pots aren’t available in exterior paint, you can purchase a 1-litre can in your desired colour, which can also be useful for touch-ups in other areas.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Does your pipe also have expanding foam around it at the joint?
