As you can see in the picture I'm wanting the first panel to be placed side ways at the start of the fence then from there on to go down the fence and create like a fence like extension but the same height as the start of the the existing on a colour bond fence what is the best way to do this as you can see I have neighbours behind me? Please help thank you
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Jacquaro. It's marvellous to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about installing Matrix screens.
To fix the bottom of the panels, since you can't screw through the Colorbond panel as the screws will penetrate the neighbour's side, you'll need to run a horizontal timber baton between the Colorbond posts at the height of the bottom of the matrix panels. This will give you something to fix into.
For your first couple of panels, you can screw through the Matrix panel's top frame piece into the top capping of the Colorbond fence. Then once you move along to the third panel, you'll screw the bottom into the timber baton and the sides into the top rail of the fence. Anything above the top rail of the fence will be unsupported and will only be relying on the Matrix panel frame to hold it upright. This should be ok, but if you experience high winds in your area, you might need to re-enforce the top section.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
