Hi, Im planing an outdoor kitchen set up with a sink. My sink will be positioned about 300 mm away from my sewer (septic) inspection shaft. Can i get a Holman Junction DWV PVC Female x Female 100x 50mm x 45deg and dig down to fit this on the inspection shaft pipe ? thus giving me a 50mm outlet to plum up to my sink s-trap?. The inspection shaft pipe will be extended from the Holman junction and capped as it currently is at the same height. Thanks for any advice, Bruce
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Bruce69. It's terrific to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about connecting a sink to a sewer pipe.
Is this a septic tank? If so, you typically wouldn't plumb a sink into one as it adds excess water, which will fill the tank quicker. You'll find that regulations require you to enlist the services of a qualified plumber to connect your sink, as it is considered plumbing work. I trust they'll be able to provide guidance on an appropriate connection method.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
