I have this trimmer head - AEG Bump Feed Line Trimmer Head - Bunnings New Zealand. But there are no instructions.
I wish to replace the head on the AEG 18V 33cm 4.0Ah Brushless Line Trimmer Force Kit - Bunnings New Zealand.
I have the AEG Metal Pin to remove the trimmer head.
I can see on the head where the pin is to go. I push the metal pin into the hole for the pin, but nothing happens. I can push and push the pin in (even use a block of wood at the end of the pin to save my hand), although I believe it doesn't it move a millimetre.
Hi @alkifaf,
The pin's only job is to lock the drive shaft in position. This stops it from spinning freely when trying to undo the head. So, you are inserting it correctly, but now you need to unscrew the head off the shaft as per the image below. When looking at it, the head needs to be turned clockwise to undo. Installation is the reverse.
Please let me know how you go.

As per your words on how to do this - I have succeeded.
I feel silly, but a little mad that AEG provide no words (and I had seen this diagram). I fully expected the pin to push in a little, so that there is some feedback that the head was ready to be unscrewed.
Nevertheless, your help has been invaluable.
That's fantastic to hear, @alkifaf; I'm glad you got it sorted.
It's only that I am familiar with this type of head removal, not that the images particularly helped me. I'll pass the feedback to AEG that a bit more information would help customers.
