Hi ,
I have an outdoor gas pipe for the spa above the entrance .. currently the ivy hides it but certain parts are dying .
any ideas on what to do with it ?

Re: any ideas on how to hide a gas pipe ?
Hi @veronica50,
A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fabulous to have you with us.
You could remove the existing ivy and replace it with an artificial plant trellis that won't thin out and wither over time. Something like this UN-REAL 180 x 90cm Pittosporum Artificial Bamboo Trellis Expandable Hedge would look good.
You may need to mount some timbers above the door to attach it to, but this shouldn't be too difficult.
Allow me to tag @Dave-1, @Noyade and @mich1972 to see if they've got ideas.
Let me know what you think.

Good morning @veronica50 I agree with Jacob. Remove the existing growing Ivy and replace with the fake ones. Would look great 😊

Re: any ideas on how to hide a gas pipe ?
Hi @veronica50
The rather large 25 mm diameter gas pipe variety?
To my eyes - the ivy isn't completely hiding it and I'm wondering if 'fake' ivy/vegetation would have a similar problem?
I was thinking of a painted wooden L-shaped 'cornice' to cover it.
Just another opinion. Cheers.

Re: any ideas on how to hide a gas pipe ?
Good Afternoon @veronica50
I like the idea of fake trellis plants as well, It looks like a decent sized pipe and also decent sized ivy. I would actually suggest removing the ivy first and check to see if its impacted the pipe attaching to the wall. Then go down the route of the expandable trellis that @JacobZ has suggested.
