How to hanging trellis on concrete without nails?

I live in an apartment and would love to hang a trellis on the balcony against a concrete wall. I would like to be able to grow Jasmin on the trellis. I do not want to damage the concrete wall an any way. How to I secure trellis to concrete?

Hello @Kellieh

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about hanging a trellis without damaging your concrete wall.

I suggest having a quick look at this discussion - Privacy screen planter box using pallet timber by @Yorky88. I propose building something similar, but with heavier timber such as sleepers and Merbau timber or your choice of trellis. By building this type of plant container, there will be no need to nail, glue or screw into your concrete balcony wall. You can make it as big or as small you want it to be. Plus, once you fill the bottom with soil or put flowerpots inside of it, there is no need to anchor it to the floor as the weight at the bottom holds the trellis upright.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

hi @Kellieh

To chime in and add to @EricL  idea bunnings  has many siloette type  screens and traditional diamond slat trellis .  They could be leaned against the wall and a planter for the Jasmin in front holding it in place.

Normally Jasmine will over take a balcony  6m H x 4m Wide and the next doors to so see if there is a dwarf to your liking.

Another  cute and  relativly tame  climber  would be Clematis  really  large pretty very colorful  flowers 2-3M H 1,5m Wide put in  a planter of hanging basket.

Not as strong perfume as  jasmine.
