Re: How to fix loose synthetic turf?
Hello @airtel12
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us and thanks for sharing your question about your artificial turf.
When was the last time you had your artificial turf serviced? It appears that the sand base has been carried away by the rain causing your turf to sag. The holes in your turf are usually patched or taped up. I suggest tracking down the turf clips at the edge of your lawn and pulling them out. I then recommend filling the low areas and dips with sand, you can either use a tamper or a compacter to level the sand base. I suggest using cloth tape to patch the holes from the bottom of the lawn.
Once you've levelled the area you can then cover the sand with your turf and put the lawn clips back into the ground.
Here is a handy step-by-step guide: How to lay synthetic turf (just to give you an idea of how it's done)
If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Re: How to fix loose synthetic turf?
Hi Eric,
Thanks for the help. I purchased the house recently and this was the condition of the turf. Please can you let me know which sand is needed and how much per sq m? Thanks

Re: How to fix loose synthetic turf?
Hello @airtel12 (Asad)
I suggest starting with 4 bags of Ki Carma 20kg Synthetic Turf Infil Landscape Sand. Open two bags and observe if it is enough to fill the dip in your turf area. Keep adding more until you have a flat surface. Any unopened bag you don't use can be returned to the store. I suggest using a Spear & Jackson Long Handle Garden Rake to spread the sand. Use a spirit level to make sure that the area is flat.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Re: How to fix loose synthetic turf?
Hi Eric,
The sand you mentioned is not available. Can you recommend another sand? Will this sand be enough to level and won't sag again? Thanks

Re: How to fix loose synthetic turf?
Thanks Eric for the help. The lump in the middle is actually the drain pipe. DO i need to level the soil uptill the height of the pipe or pipe needs to be a bit lower to allow the drainage?

Hi @airtel12,
Can you provide some images of the pipe so we have a better idea of what you're working with?

Re: How to fix loose synthetic turf?
The pipe head is covered with weed sheet with some stone on top of it.

Re: How to fix loose synthetic turf?
Hi @airtel12,
Is it a small, thin irrigation pipe? If it is just a 19 or 25mm black irrigation pipe, it can be filled over.
It appears that the whole area, which is a couple of square metres, has sunken and needs to be filled up to be level with the surrounding area. I can't imagine this was caused by the pipe or left like this due to it.
