Hi there community,
I have a concrete services/path area (where my hot water system, pool pump, aircon unit etc are located). The fall of the concrete in some areas doesn’t allow the water to drain properly and as a result it pools in these areas. I would like to tile the area myself but inorder to do so, I need these levels corrected with the correct falls. What can I use to increase the height of some of these areas. Some areas require only a few mm but others are 15mm or so.
Thanks so much!
Hi @cjl1989,
Thank you for your question about correcting the fall on your outdoor pathways.
If you weren't tiling, you would have to grind the concrete back to create the correct fall, but as you are going to tile over it, to create the correct falls, you can use screed.
The process is different, but you can see screed being used to create falls in How To Screed a Shower Tray.
Let me know what you think and if you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
